Our CBC Seniors are very active and on the move. God has blessed us with a large and vibrant Senior Adult Ministry (along with a large bus to make this ministry more enjoyable). This delightful group of Seniors is kept busy with numerous activities, such as lunch and crafts at the church once a month and dinner out at a restaurant once a month. They also participate in a a seasonal bowling league.
Day trips also make up a pick part of our Senior Adult Calendar, with trips to Fort Valley, Ellijay, the State Fair, the Atlanta Aquarium, and many other exciting places. Several times a year our Seniors pack their suitcases and head out of town together for a few days. These three-to-five-day getaways take them to places such as Hiawassee and Savannah, GA; Pigeon Forge, TN; Washington DC; and Branson, MO. The Bible says in Proverbs 20:29 that "the gray hair of experience is the splendor of the old". Our Seniors have been through many of life's experiences and have learned how to enjoy life! |
